Lee Metcalf Wilderness
Near West Yellowstone, Montana
Posted: Apr 26, 2019
One of my favorite places is the Lee Metcalf Wilderness area, just outside of West Yellowstone, Montana. Not a place to photograph a lot of wildlife but it’s a place of beauty. The magic of the mountains uncluttered with roads is truly breath-taking. Hiking or horseback riding is the only way you can visit this special place. Believe me, it is well worth the effort.
I hope to revisit this place which is so good for landscape photography and better yet good for the soul.
This image is an HDR image made from 5 different exposures combined in Nik software with the use of Lightroom and Photoshop to complete the processing. The five exposures varied by one stop each. It’s been a while since I processed an HDR image and I found the time spent very rewarding.
Now it’s time to spend some time in those mountains.
Embrace the journey!
